Consider this, both the Stovepipe Sprint Triathlon and Railsplitter Triathlon offer an affordable and unique alternative to big city triathlons. We guarantee less cost, less travel, less hassle, more variety, hills, country setting, better food and a one of a kind opportunity to race where Lincoln lived and unknowingly created Multisport.
Both bike courses have now been marked with red arrows for training purposes. RV and tent camping is available at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic site approximately 100 yards from the finish line. And RV, tents and cabins are available at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park which is on the railsplitter bike course. New Salem Campground phone number is (217) 632-4003.
All racers will receive an original technical race shirt designed by Carlberg Graphics and a post race lunch of sandwiches ( veggie also), sides and refreshments while awaiting the awards ceremony. Overall, age group, athenas, clydesdales and team winners will receive hand made functional awards crafted by local artisans. No cheap plastic here.
