The Pioneer Sprint Triathlon will begin April 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm and offers a 300 yard swim in the heated indoor PORTA pool, a beautiful 13 mile bike ride on a rolling and flat prairie road and the chance to run 3.1 miles through picturesque Petersburg. The run will take you past century old architectural gems, past the Edgar Lee Master’s home, past the courthouse where young Abraham practiced law and up and down the streets of Petersburg. All ages are welcome and Clydesdales, Athenas and teams are encouraged to enter. An awards ceremony will follow after the last runner crosses the finish line. Post race pasta dinner (red meat sauce or meatless sauce) with, garlic bread, salad and dessert will be provided to all racers.

Complimentary post race massage for all racers. Post race showers will be available at the PORTA pool. Racers should tune to 1610 am for the latest race information.
